With just 10 days to go until the inaugural Wynnum Laneway Movie Night the free tickets are moving fast from sponsors The Waterloo Bay Hotel and Ray White, so hurry up and get yours if you don’t want to miss out.
The organisers have just announced two things…
1) Look like Neo competition
The organisers are encouraging people to come ‘dressed as Neo’. Immediately before the screening of The Matrix there will be a lineup – if that’s what it’s called – and the best dressed (voted by the audience volume of applause) will win a $50 voucher for The Waterloo Bay Hotel. Better start looking for your Neo gear now.
2) Wynnum shops turning into ‘popcorn stations’
A number of the Wynnum Central retailers will be opening until 7pm on the night, and will have stocks of free popcorn to giveaway to movie goers. There’ll be a limited supply so get in early. The businesses that we are aware of that will be open until 7pm include…
Wynnum Business Members
- Pizza Capers
- Sobidah Clothing Co
- Crystal Rose Gallery
- Cultivate Design Co
- Lewis & Philp
- The Collective Store
- Little Gnome
- Creative Treasures
- Ycel Ice Cream

Also… seating will be provided but moviegoers are encouraged to bring their own blankets etc in case it’s a little cool!
