If you’ve been reading the stories on this website for a while you won’t be surprised to hear that parking has been a consistent focus over the years for Wynnum Central (in fact if you search ‘parking’ in our search bar you will find no less than nine different articles, and these are just ones where the word ‘parking’ is in the headline – there are more!).
WynnumCentral has also run multiple parking surveys over the years and – you may not be surprised to hear – many responses have declared that there is just not enough.*
Back in November last year Brisbane City Council announced that the Wynnum Central precinct would be the focus of a suburban precinct renewal project and now they would like your feedback on the parking issue, specifically your thoughts on a possible plan to introduce a one way system in Wynnum Central alongside angle parking.

*BTW WynnumCentral does not share what seems to be the majority view on parking(!) – your editorial team generally have no problem finding parking close to where we want to go, and if you were to measure how far you walk from a parking spot in any shopping centre we bet it would always be a longer walk than in Wynnum! Please let us know if your experiences have been different…
