Find your perfect Father’s Day gift at the WynnumCentral art/craft/vintage/retro market this Saturday

If you still need to get your dad something for Father’s Day on Sunday, why not come down this Saturday to the WynnumCentral art/craft/vintage/retro market. For the first time. the market is moving off the street and on to the footpath, and will be centred around the junctions of Edith Street and Bay Terrace. A number of the regular stallholders will be there, along with a few newbies, some of whom are taking mini spots in a suitcase rummage style. We’ll also have a few of our regular buskers coming down to entertain the crowd.

PS you may have read the article in the Wynnum Herald this week that cited the cost of the road closure at $13,000-$14,000 each time. In case you’re wondering, that is a typo (if it cost that each time we’d never have got the market up and running!), it should have read $1,300-$1,400. The article also mentioned cost as the main reason for the move to the footpath. Although this is clearly a factor, it’s not the only factor. We believe that the footpath market will give the market a better feel, plus it also allows us to expand the market considerably, along both Edith Street and Bay Terrace in the future as we hope the market continues to grow in popularity.

Come down on Saturday and let us know what you think!
