Independence Day

Sat 12th November is Independence Day in the Republic of Wynnum. It’s hard to believe that this will be the third year of independence.

The Government of the Republic is keen to hear how citizens and residents would like to see the day marked.

Unfortunately the new country does not have a particularly big budget for the celebrations, having failed to raise any tax at all over the past year from its voluntary tax program, so is keen to listen to any ideas that might work within a tight budget.

Last year you may recall was primarily a flag waving exercise down at Pandanus Beach, with several relatively newly appointed members of the aristocracy present, many in period costume, including a knight who was in charge of waving the flag.

There are still 26 days to go until the day, so we would be happy to pass on any suggestions here to government officials…
