Our Federal Election Survey Results

Firstly, thank you to everyone who responded to our survey!

We only have ourselves to blame for the relatively low participation rate – it was fairly late in the game. These survey results are based on a small response to the survey (39).

However, if past performances of our election surveys are any guide, even very small samples, although not ‘statistically significant’, can be uncannily accurate.

The quick summary of the survey is that it looks like the ALP may be in the box seat in Bonner with 53.85% of respondents telling us they would be voting for them as against LNP which came in at 25.64%.

This is in contrast to voting in the 2022 election (as reported by respondents to this survey) when LNP had a greater percentage of the vote with 33.33% of the vote against ALP with 46.15%.

According to SBS News (at 2.07pm today) 5.7 million people have already cast their vote, which in theory leaves 12 million voting tomorrow. So it’ll still be pretty busy at the polling booths tomorrow.

Although the Bonner electorate is pretty big, stretching from the Port down to Carindale, Mount Gravatt and Rochedale, we’ve heard that the Wynnum early voting station at St Peter’s Church in Bride Street has been the busiest of all the early voting stations in Bonner.
