Time is running out to have your say on the Draft Wynnum Centre Suburban Renewal Precinct Plan (although not as fast as we thought)
UPDATE
Just in today – deadline for feedback extended (as per Councillor Alex Givney’s newsletter today)…
“After being approached by members of the community, I requested an extension to ensure everyone has the opportunity to have their say. You can now provide feedback until 11.59pm on Sunday, 23 November 2025″.
The consultation period for the ambitious plan for Wynnum Central laid out by Brisbane City Council a few weeks ago (and covered in-depth here) will end this coming Sunday (at 11:59pm) (see new deadline above) – so if you haven’t shared your thoughts yet – and you want to – now’s the time to do it!
All the details on how to submit your thoughts and comments to council are set out in our previous article here.

Council survey on parking in Wynnum
Councillor Alex Givney in her latest newsletter said…
“As part of the survey, 358 responses were received, with 68% of participants supporting the proposal to make Florence and Edith Streets one-way. Even among those who opposed the one-way change, most still agreed that more parking is needed in the area, highlighting the shared goal of making our town centre easier and more convenient for everyone to access.”
Our understanding is that any changes in parking arrangements in Wynnum Central would form a part of the draft precinct plan and so – if adopted – would be announced as part of the main suburban renewal plan rather than separately.
