New library opens to some fanfare

The new Wynnum public library opened to some fanfare on Saturday 28th May. It really is a very well equipped library with all sorts of facilities, the only thing is the book collection looks a little small now in such a large space! The Lord Mayor of Brisbane was on hand to formally declare the new library open and the canon that used to sit outside the old library was unveiled in its new home on the grass between the new library and the new community centre in the old school building.
