Music day brings Wynnum to life on a Sunday

Wynnum was the only place in Queensland where Fete de la Musique was celebrated. With 14+ musicians, performers and bands playing from 9am until 1pm, there was something for everyone. Although it’s fair to say the crowds were modest (there were noticeably more people than on a normal Sunday morning), the weather was good, the music was great and a few passersby asked “Does this happen every Sunday?”

The Alliance Francaise Brisbane came along, as did a few specialist French suppliers of delicious French bread and patisserie and French gourmet food.

Maybe now we have a few cafes and other shops that are open on a Sunday morning, we should have something artistic and/or musical happening regularly on Sunday mornings in Wynnum. What do you think?

Here are a few more photos from Fete de la Musique in Wynnum on Sunday 21st June 2015…
