Want to go for a walk with Sofie Formica next week?

Research by The Heart Foundation indicates that walking at a brisk pace for 30 minutes a day has unlimited health benefits and so 4BC radio’s afternoon presenter Sofie Formica* has taken up the challenge by doing ‘100 days of walking’ (ie 100 consecutive days), including a stint coming up in Wynnum.
Walking is pretty much the cheapest way of keeping fit and – given the current cost of living crisis – comes in a fair bit more affordable than gym membership or exercise classes!
The Details
The 100 days of walking started on 3rd September live on the 4BC afternoon show with Sofie where she made a commitment to go for a 30 minute walk every day for 100 days, and invited listeners and anyone else wanting to join her on her walks.
Her 30 minute walk in Wynnum will be along Wynnum Esplanade and will start at 4pm on Wednesday 12th November in the park at the end of the jetty, near Pandanus Beach. The walk is completely free and open to all ages and walking abilities.
So if you’d like to meet Sofie Formica, get a bit of fresh sea air and improve your mental and physical wellbeing all at the same time, here’s your chance!
