Quandamooka Festival 2025

13-14 September on Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island)

The Quandamooka Festival on Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) will be held on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September at the QUAMPI Arts & Culture Centre in Dunwich.

It may not be Wynnum(!) but it doesn’t feel that far away – just across the Bay. Unfortunately, unless you have your own boat, you’ll have to get down to Cleveland and catch the ferry over, which Google Maps says is 35km (including the ferry ride) and will take you 1hr 25mins. It’ll be worth it though! Talking of getting a more direct form of transport from Bayside to Straddie, watch this space…

The festival itself is ‘multi-artform’ and provides a special opportunity to experience the continuing culture of the Nughi, Nunukul, and Goenpul clans of Quandamooka firsthand.

In terms of what to expect, check out the lineup below, but in general terms the festival will showcase a diverse lineup of cultural activities, Kunjiel (corroboree/ traditional dance), music performances, food, weaving, arts, crafts, markets, workshops, panel discussions, and more.

The festival is for all ages and tickets are free of charge but you do have to book in, which you can do here…
