Bayside Spring Festival Blooms Again 💐
After more than a decade away, I’m thrilled to share that the much-loved Bayside Spring Festival is making its vibrant return to George Clayton Park on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 September.
This free community celebration will bring family fun, music, and community spirit to our beautiful foreshore. Entry and many activities are free to enjoy, with rides available on a user-pays basis. The weekend will include a spectacular fireworks display at 7.30pm on Saturday night.
I’ve been proud to lead this project alongside a hardworking committee of volunteers and in collaboration with Wynnum Commerce Inc. and Queensland Heritage Services Band Association. Together, we’ve poured countless hours into creating a weekend that truly celebrates the Bayside. The committee hope to see the iconic parade return in future years and look forward to seeing all the schools and community organisations play a part in the festivities.
With iconic local resident Ranger Stacey, many talented local performers, and a few surprises, it’s going to be wonderful to welcome our community back to this much-loved tradition.
A heartfelt thank you to our major sponsors Ampol, Brisbane City Council and The Lord Mayor’s Community Fund for proudly supporting the Bayside Spring Festival and helping make this celebration possible.
This year, we’re partnering with Brisbane Festival to present a spectacular Friday night program featuring:
• Rachael Fahim – powerhouse country-pop artist with chart-topping hits.
• Midwest Molly – country favourites with a fresh twist.
• Briana Dinsdale – rising star with soulful vocals and heartfelt songwriting.
Saturday will be a showcase of our Bayside spirit, with performances from:
• Local bands, school performers and dance groups.
• Ranger Stacey as MC and a captivating wildlife presentation.
• Royal Australian Navy Band.
• Charlotte Street Jazz Band.
• The Kunins.
• Phoenix closing the night with a high-energy set.
Plus, there’s plenty for families to enjoy:
• Roaming performers throughout the park.
• Face painting and a petting zoo.
• A ginormous jumping castle.
• Tasty treats from food trucks and makers market stalls.

Fantastic, signage in Wynnum about these events would be good. We would love to know in advance as we are in walking distance.and heard it all and loved the fireworks from our verandah. I drive to Port of Brisbane to Wynnum daily and didn’t know this was on. We frequent the cinema, restaurants and Lou Lou Room. The Fringe, is fantastic. So exciting. Local publicity outside of social media is still important and then we can invite our non-Wynnum family/friends.
