There will be live music in Wynnum for every taste next Friday (12th September). In fact if you wanted to experience everything from opera to Broadway to rock/pop, you could go along to ‘Songs & Soiree’ in the morning (11am start) at the Wynnum RSL and then head over to the Augathella Spiegeltent in the evening to see Bachelor Girl!
‘Songs & Soiree’ is ‘a magical blend of soaring opera arias, Broadway favourites, and timeless classics’ featuring music from Verdi to Bizet to Mozart and Tchaikovsky and then on to showstoppers like Climb Every Mountain, Phantom of the Opera, and Nessun Dorma.
The performance features tenor Roger Davy (who has performed to Wynnum audiences before, including at the Wynnum Fringe), mezzo soprano Kathryn King, soprano Gabrielle Jack, and classical pianist Leanne Warne, all of whom – between the performances – will also be sharing some musical anecdotes and stories of their lives in music.
If you’d like to go along, you can find out more and buy tickets here (PS the ‘Book Now’ button is right up at the top of the page on the right – we missed it)…
