And the exodus continues

Another bank leaves Wynnum

This time it’s Westpac that has put up their hand to leave Wynnum Central. The branch will close down in just over two weeks time, at 1pm on Friday 1st September. Their poster advising of the closure refers customers to their website and app, and to the Post Office for deposits and withdrawals.

The first major bank to leave was ANZ closely followed by Suncorp and most recently NAB. The Bank of Queensland Wynnum branch and the Bendigo Community Bank have both confirmed that they have no plans to leave Wynnum.

State MP Joan Pease (pictured) has started a petition opposing the move. You can add your signature here…
