Want to grow your business? CCIQ Brisbane Bayside can help you with that!

CCIQ Brisbane Bayside is your local chamber of commerce and, if you run a business – or plan to – it should be your first port of call.

Previously known as the Wynnum & Districts Chamber of Commerce, in 2015 the Chamber joined forces with the peak body in the state – Chamber of Commerce & Industry Queensland (CCIQ) to become CCIQ Brisbane Bayside.

GBSBAS logoAs well as organising regular networking events and business breakfasts and lunches, CCIQ Brisbane Bayside runs the Small Business Advisory Service in conjunction with the Greater Brisbane Small Business Advisory Service (GBSBAS). GBSBAS receives funding from the Federal Government and all services offered to small businesses (defined as businesses employing less than 20 people) are offered either free or at very reduced rates.

Through GBSBAS local businesses have access to a range of business mentors each with huge experience in their specific fields, such as…

1. Finance (banking, finance, cashflow management, data interpretation, accounting)
2. Business planning (assistance with marketing plans, guidance on entering new markets and overseas markets)
3. HR (employment, recruitment, retention)
4. General business management (creating/reviewing a business plan, supply chain management, succession planning, leasing, IP, credit management)
5. Digital marketing (email marketing, content marketing, social media, SEO/SEM, other digital marketing techniques and technology)

One-on-one mentoring and workshops

Businesses can either arrange one-on-one meetings with mentors, or can come along to special two hour workshops held by individual mentors, where numbers are limited to five per workshop to maximise outcomes for attendees. Some workshops are general presentations and discussions, and some are very practical ‘hands-on how-to’ workshops where attendees bring along their laptops and are guided through how to use the applications.
