Treasure Hunt – did you get the answer right?

Did you take part in our treasure hunt on market day? Quite a lot of people did.

If you’re wondering what the answer was, it was:

Winnam Breadfruit

We didn’t want to make it too easy for you! Winnam is the name of the original people who inhabited the Wynnum area, and one of the theories of the origin of the word ‘Wynnum’ is that it derives from the Aboriginal word for breadfruit tree. More information on all of this on the ABC website.

The winner of the treasure hunt, who wins $150 in shopping vouchers, is Damien Keune of Wynnum. Two runners up, Cheryl and Indiana (and Jade), each win $75 in fruit and veg vouchers from Perrys Fruit Market and Juice Bar in Tingal Road.
